When Auto Routing is enabled the software will determine a path to place a wire
or bus along. Automatic routing of wires and buses is used either when the
user attempts to place a new wire using the
Wiring Tool, or when the user moves a
component that has wires connected to it. The path chosen for the wire or bus is
usually the shortest path between the two points which does not cross other
components or interfere with other nets, however, if the user is moving a
component and the '
Prefer Existing Path when Routing ' action is enabled the software will try
to keep at least some of the new path on the existing path. The way Auto Routing
behaves is affected by two configuration options.
'Route in Realtime' and
'
Route after component movement'.
