When creating a new project, Interactive Logic requires information such as the
new project's name and where it should be stored. This information is entered
into the New Project Dialog. Once the attributes have been specified and OK has
been pressed the current project, if any, will be closed and the new project
will be opened ready to be designed.
The attributes that must be specified in the New Project Dialog are as follows:
- New project name
- The name for a project can be any alpha-numeric characters including spaces.
Note that if a project name contains spaces then the project directory name will
have the spaces converted to underscores, this is because the build tools used
with Interactive Logic cannot accept spaces in directory names.
- Top level schematic size
- The size given to the Top Level Schematic, which is the schematic that always exists in Interactive Logic projects and acts as a parent to all component instances. The size of the Top Level Schematic can be changed later on with the Resize Schematic dialog.
- Project folder's location
- This is a directory under which the project directory will be created. New directories can be added to this list by clicking the 'Add Folder' button.
