This dialog allows you to specify attributes for a new state diagram. Once the
attributes have been specified and OK has been selected the dialog will close
and the new state diagram will be the active item in the Design Canvas.
Attributes of the new state diagram are as follows:
- State Diagram Name
- The name of the new state diagram can be any combination of ASCII characters.
The only restriction on the name of a state diagram is that it cannot be the
same as an existing schematic or state diagram name, or a built-in component
name.
- Category
- Use categories to logically group your state diagrams. Category names can be
any combination of ASCII characters and you can use an existing category name
to group a new state diagram. Each dot '.' that is contained in a category name indicates
a new sub category. For example, 'Machines.Basic' will create a
category folder called Basic which will be a child of a category folder called
Machines. There is no limit to the number of levels of category folders.
- Size
- Medium is the default size for state diagrams. This size should fit most
needs. The Design Canvas may be less responsive for large size state diagrams
on slower computers.
