If Interactive Logic has an active project then the Project Tree will display the project's structure. The Project Tree also contains a complete list of built-in components that may be used in the project. The root node in the tree displays the project's name. Descending from this node are two nodes to contain the user's schematics and the available built-in components. The top level schematic for the project is displayed at this level for convenience.
While Interactive Logic is connected to a Hevday Logic Module monitoring a design
the Project Tree displays the project's physical hierarchical structure. Built-in
components are hidden and any schematics or state diagrams that are not actually
in use in the design will also be inaccessible. Each physical component in the
hierarchy is identified by it's type and instance name. Clicking on a particular
instance will display that item on the Design Canvas.
A schematic can be resized from the Project Tree by right-clicking on the
schematic and selecting 'Resize...' this will display the
Resize Schematic Dialog.
You can create schematics from the Project Tree by right-clicking on
the 'Schematics' node in the tree, or one of it's sub category nodes, then
selecting
New Schematic... or
New State Diagram....
You can delete schematics from the Project Tree by right-clicking on the schematic and selecting 'Delete'
You can rename schematics from the Project Tree by right-clicking on the schematic and selecting 'Rename...'

Changing the category of a schematic
A schematic can be moved into a category, or moved from one category to another
by dragging and dropping or by right-clicking on the schematic and selecting 'Change Category...'. The user
is prompted with the name of the category to move the schematic into. Once this
dialog is complete the schematic will be moved into it's new place on the
Project Tree.
If you want to move one or more schematics into a new category, but prefer to
use drag-and-drop to perform the move then you may create the category first,
then drag the schematic(s) into the category. This is done by right-clicking on
a category or on the root 'Schematics' node, then selecting 'New Sub Category...'.
Once the name for the new sub category has been entered the node will appear in
the Project Tree ready to accept schematics. Please note that sub
categories that contain no schematics or state diagrams at the time the project
is closed will not reappear when the project is re-opened.

Viewing Balloon Help for a Project Tree Item
To find out more about a built-in component, schematic or state diagram balloon
help can be displayed. To do this right-click on the item in the Project Tree
and select 'What's This?' from the menu. A short description of the item will be
displayed. To edit descriptions for your own schematics use the
Edit Description
action from the Schematic menu while the schematic is active.

Dragging Items onto the Design Canvas
An alternative to using the Component Placer
for adding components to the Design
Canvas is to simply drag and drop the items from the Project Tree. This can be
done with built-in components, schematics and state diagrams. Generally if adding
many components of the same type to the Design Canvas you would use the
Component Placer, however if adding just a single component you may prefer drag
and drop.
